It sure is great to find a doctor with ears, who knows how to use them!

Thanks for the good wisher. Kim O

Good luck to you Kim! Gosh, August will be here before we know it. I sure

hope this works for you. Isn't it great when you find a doctor who actually

listens?

Hi folks,

A few weeks ago I asked the list about advice with the excessive periods

issue I was having. I have just seen a new gyn who is a bit more educated

about

the absorbtion issues of WLS Post Ops. He gave me a few options.....the

one I

have chosen is to have an Endometrial Ablation. The doc firmly feels that

it

is too soon to consider a hystie...if for some reason this procedure does

not

correct my problem...then we can consider the hystie. It sounds reasonable

to me. The big thing is that I feel that he LISTENED to my concerns and

responded appropriately. I am scheduled for surgery on August 13th. Kim O

Thanks for the good wishes. As I told the new gyn.....I am really tired of

this problem and anything he could do in an attempt to resove it was welcome.

Interestngly enough, the new internal ultrasound that his office did....does

show a polyp(I have a feeling I spelled that wrong!) in my endometrial lining.

Not dangerous....but could be the cause of some of the problem....although

the bleeding pre dates the polyp. The ablation procedure will take care of the

whole thing. I have begun some research on the internet about this. Very

helpful info. Kim O

Good luck to you Kim. Hope all works out well and you can avoid the

hysterectomy. Wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be, just if you

can avoid a major surgery, then avoid it. : )

Feel better.
