Guest guest
cammie thanks for ur advice. I actually already have an OS here in NYC (actually I have two which i have to decide between asap) and I will be doing the surgery here in NYC during the last week of May or first week of June. What I need is an orthodontist to follow me post surgery when i move back to London in September. But, like you said, I'm sure my orthodontist in NYC will have someone to recommend to me although last time i mentioned it to him he said that i would just have to come back to visit him when i could which sounds insane to me, let alone not penny- wise! I know the ideal thing would be just to sit tight in NYC until I'm done with everything but it's two years now that I have been long- distancing it with my fiancee who lives in Italy (where I am from). Since London and NYC are the best places for me work-wise I figured that moving to London would make the relationship a little more manageable...but i guess health comes before anything and i should concentrate on my jaw before making big plans for moving again. Thanks for ur advice and it's really nice to know that someone who has been through the surgery a few years back still checks in. This is truly a great supporting network. Guest guest
Sara London's a big place, but if South West London is ok for you, I have a brilliant orthodontist in Teddington. Dr Claire Hepworth. She's a consultant in Ashford hospital and works closely with my OS Mr . Through her advice and his consultation I'm having double jaw surgery in about a year to fix my open bite. Claire is really helpful and explains everything-probably because she actually trains other orthos. If this sounds ok post a reply and i'll let you know her contact details. Omly problem is that she's only in the surgery on Weds at the moment, due to her hospital and teaching commitments. Hope this helps Helen > > > > Hi All, > > > > I was wondering if any of you were based in London and if so, > whether > > you knew of any good orthos there to recommend and who have dealt > with > > orthognathic surgery?
