The sore throat is a result of the intubation, i'd guess, and will

probably be much better in four or five days, if not sooner.

I didn't swell that much, but many people do.

I think you'll do fine work-wise, especially since you're already

posting here. I couldn't even look at the computer for a week after

surgery. As for talking, are you banded or wired? I was banded and it

hurt to talk for about a week. It didn't really hurt -- just

uncomfortable.

I will be 7 weeks post-op tomorrow. I had a non-eventful post-op

experience and am totally back to normal. I even ate a few tortilla

chips yesterday, but don't tell my orthodontist.
