I believe that got a letter about it, so I think it is legal. But Marilyn says, make your own, make your own, make your own!(although that is harder for those of us not yet in possession of smokers)I tried 's recently - and it had no ill effect. Same here, no ill effects. There is a letter somewhere about how they make it and the only thing in it is water that has captured the smoke. I don't think so. Some people say yes. Some no. I bought a Cameron's

stove top smoker, and smoke my meats for real. I also smoke veggies, dry

them, powder them, and toss them in sauces to accomplish a much better

flavor than any7 liquid smoke.
