upper lip half the size after surgery

Had surgery on 28th january. Upper jaw raised and lower jaw advanced.

thankfully have had no problems with pain or numbness but my top lip

is almost non existent and at least half the size it was before

surgery.

I still have some swelling to my cheeks and area between nose

and mouth and I'm not sure if the lack of lip could be attributed to

the swelling which will be present for another month or so.

I would be grateful if anyone could let me know if they have

experienced this or heard of anyone that has had this happen to them.

would love to hear that it is only down to the swelling and that my

lip will return to normal!!
