Guest guest
Jerusalem artichokes are a root veggie, like a potato, white and crispy and crunchy inside. THey don't have hearts. Canned artichoke hearts should be legal, depending of course upon other ingredients in the can, listed and unlisted (which you will have to find out.) I know there is a distinction between types of artichokes in the BTVC. For those of you who eat canned artichoke hearts, how do you distinguish? (French = legal; Jerusalem = illegal). I miss them dearly.

And Jeruselem artichokes are not SCD legal, whereas green artichokes (french) are. It's possible to find fresh frozen artichokes hearts, which would be much better than any canned item (which would be illegal), unless you canned it yourself. — Marilyn New Orleans, Louisiana, USA Undiagnosed IBS since 1976, SCD since 2001 Darn Good SCD Cook No Human Children Shadow & Sunny Longhair Dachshund
