thanks a lot for your sweet answer!

I have had my braces since 2 years ago, I had to change ortho and surgeon

because they didn't make me feel safe enough, there was no team work and they

didn't give me the information I needed. My new ones since last september are

great, they are not scared of sharing information with me and work consistetly

and together.

It´s strange but although I looked for it, I couldn't find people in Buenos

Aires to share experiences with. I wish I could!

Although I've been reading loads and watching all sorts of stuff, I am generally

quite calm. I get anxious sometimes, but on the whole I am OK. I once dreamed

that I was 1 day post Op in bed and I couldn't feel my mouth!! It was very real

and made frightened!! I think the anxiety will increase during the months prior

to the surgery.

Congratullations for you as well and all the people involved in such a complex

process!!

Why don't you know if you are going to have the lower done yet?

I'll have UPPER: with two cuts in the palatal bone to open it and lower it and

LOWER: to slide the mandibula backwards, as I have quite a pronounced underbite

(although you can't really tell it from watching). Excuse me for not using

medical terms!!

a lot of courage, i know. have you put braces on yet? i have them on

and am due for surgery at the end of this may/june. i will have upper

and genio and hopefully no lower. if you need to get anything

translated into spanish about the operation let me know as my mother

speaks spanish and can help.
