Jo,

Thanks for the kind words, I know I am not confident about the new

me and I keep finding things wrong, but maybe I am just being too

critical.

I had leforte 1 and genioplasty and I love my new chin, but I'm not

so confident about how the upper jaw is looking.

Thanks again for your kind words.

I have not posted any pics yet, because I'm afraid to take an after

picture. Although I saw a picture that was taken 2 weeks ago and I

did not look as bad as I felt I looked.

I've asked my mother and my husband and they both say I look fine,

so I'm probably just over reacting.

My surgery was 9 weeks ago, so I'm hoping there will still be some

changes, but I don't want to get my hopes up too much and nothing

change.

Although one good thing is people tell me I look younger. (I just

turned 35 last week)

Thanks,

I think perception is reality to a large extent for this. When I'm feeling

confident, I feel like people are responding to me better. When I'm not, I

feel self-conscious. They could be treating me the same, I just interpret it

differently. And people could be picking up on your insecurities, which

could affect the way they're treating you. Their perceptions of you have an

impact on how they act. I think it goes both ways.
