How long before the first post-op OD visit?

Hey all,

General question - How long after surgery were you instructed to wait

before returning to see your OD for a " tune-up " . My surgeon has asked

that I wait 4 whole months before letting the OD in there to work. I

don't have any opening issues and my case wasn't particularly

difficult, so I'm wondering what the hold-up is? The thought of a 4

month waiting period on top of the estimated 6 more months of OD work

is sad. Plus, my teeth REALLY don't meet up now and I know that

chewing will be affected for those extra 4 months. Whining, I know,

but I just got so excited about that cheeseburger.
