I know SCD is a healthy diet for those with GI problems. But I also know it is

just a healthy diet overall. So since I have been learning that grains are

actually hard to digest and not really meant for human consumption, I am

wondering about the part of SCD where, after healing, it says that one can TRY

to test any illegal foods to see if they can tolerate it.

But what I am wondering is:

1. is that just to appease those who cannot fathom not being able to eat their

customary foods or just to allow some fun and leeway

or

2. is it that after healing occurs, the body WILL be able to digest these foods

better.

Any thoughts?

Thanks,
