Yes it is normal for the jaw to pull back or left or right. My dr says

it needs taining to knowwhat position to heal in. Mine was pulling

back and to the left after surgery soI wear elastics 24 hours a day for

about a week now and longer. I am noticing my midline is perfect with

the elastics and my OS says my joints and bones are healing so they

will heal inthis position. I can't even take off my rubberbands to eat.

Chances are you will work that out through the post-op

orthodontics...this often happens and can be corrected.

Talk to your OR and see their thoughts or your OS if you have that apt

first can tell you who is going to be helping with which areas of your

recovery and final tweaking-not a medical term ;) just works!

Hang in there, eevry day will get better...Trust me I just got my

braces off today!! And no pain, no BAD stains, and my lips and teeth

can touch in ways they NEVER could before.....VERY neat!!
