Hello Meredith,

Have you run a search on this forum ? This question gets asked a lot

of times, so you should be able to find something (a few pointers, use

words like numb, stiff and alike to refine your search).

Hi Meredith,

yes, everyone is different, and recovers differently, so I will just

give you my shortned story. I had surgery on November 5th of 2004.

I had upper and lower surgery done for an open bite. My nerves were

severed on the top. I kept thinking, " not me " as to the recovery

process, and here we are almost 4 months later, and I am still numb

from my eylids to my upper lip, and my teeth are so super sensitve,

I still have a hard time eating. I am hoping " 6 months " is the

magical day. I see the surgeon tomorrow, and I will ask some more

questions.
