Guest guest
The diet has helped us with speech, behavoirs and sensory issues. My son is also three and is functioning quite well.It is not a cure in my opinion{but some have reported recovery for thier children} But it can for alot of people help them to function better.F What should we expect from the diet? For all the Group: I haven´t already started this diet, although I´m making orders and so on. My son is 3, and he doesn´t speak. He doesn´t point either. He seldom says a word, then he stops using it. Will he start talking when we start this diet? Are these kids supposed to be cured with the diet? What should we expect? Does anybody know a good book for making ABA? Thank you to all of you, and for all your advices and recipes. Carmen.
Guest guest
Hi Carmen. We started by removing casein when my son was 2 years 1 month and then went on to remove gluten 3 months later. I'm sure with all kids it is different but for my son what we have noticed is that he seems to be more " with " us, more focused and this helps all his other therapies to work better. When he has an infraction, we might as well not even do his speech therapy...he gets absolutely nothing from it. The diet has been a very important step in my son's progress. We still have a long way to go, but the improvements that we have already seen since starting the diet are tremendous. Some of these were so gradual that we didn't realize how much progress he was making until he had an infringement. Good luck with the diet...take it slow, try not to expect too much and celebrate all the baby steps your child makes along the way. This is a wonderful group and they have been the absolute best support system I could have asked for (and still are)! -- In GFCFKids@y..., " Carmen del Rio " <crdelrk@t...> wrote: > For all the Group: > > I haven´t already started this diet, although I´m making orders and so on.
