Guest guest
Hi Bob, Hope you feel better stresswise. I'm really sensitive to your situation because after 3 weeks my teeth are sliding a bit back into an overbite-this is NOT good for me because thats where I started. (I have the opposite of your bite). I'm hoping my teeth will behave because they were better right after surgery, although off sideways. My tongue is still 1/2 numb. From everything I read the ligual nerve to your tongue less commonly effected (bummer) than the Ian nerve (lip, chin). My OS says maybe 6 months, but I could tell he was concerned. I can't tell if it's getting a little better or I'm getting used to it. I hope it comes back sometime soon. The rest of the swelling and pain is minimal at this point. Boy, this is a long haul, its like a story where you want to know how it ends without having to read the whole book. Keep us informed on what the OS says to you about what he will do to fix. Like you, I find it hard not to be mad at how this whole chain of events started by a single decision at the dentist. I hope things go well. take care Sherri > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > Just got my call I have been waiting for,for 2 days now.......My > > Ortho > > > contacted my OS , and let him know he was not happy with the > > result of > > > my surgery and I am worse off than I was before ,he can't do any > > thing > > > with my teeth now that my jaw has slipped ahead and to the > > right,There > > > are no other options ,but to redo the surgery.....He is > suggesting > > to > > > my OS that this is urgent, and needs to be delt with right > away.... > > > I guess I'm going to have to pick myself up dust myself off ,and > > try > > > to get into the right mindset to push onward (again)..........It > > > better not screw up our trip to Vegas in Sept.!!!, Which we > booked > > > after I got my 1st surgery date....Thought I would be home free > by > > > then, now I'm startin to wonder ???? > > > any how..... > > > > > > Bob....out
