orientation is on a saturday--mine was from 2:30 till 5.....one

surgeon will speak, a nutritionist and someone who already has had the

procedure...before all that you are going to get " the bible " binder

for us and get weighed in....damaris......orientation is one but they

want you to find a support grp

during the week. Now what happens after your orientation what is the

next steps? Do you get weighed once a month? are there additional

classes?

Depends which Kaiser you go through. At SSF, mine was on a Tuesday and

lasted all day (9:30 - 4), but that included a morning session, a

support group meeting in the middle, and a nutrition class in the

afternoon.

I forgot to mention where they said i would be at lolsorry about

that. I will be having surgery in Richmond. Thanks Cathy :-)

i go to fremont.....i already did the first consultation with the

bariatric team....of course at this appt they want to see if you have

done any changes....what have you done regards to exercise, following

the 1200 cal intake way of eating....if you started any

vitamins....the surgeon goes thru everything with

you...risk,complications,everything in your Kaiser file......take a

snack...i got very hungry.....you will see the nutritionist, surgeon

and program coordinator...remember this is in fremont.....and you have

to call every 2 wks to report in with how much you wt...what are you

doing with the 1200 meal plan, are you getting the tests that you need

presurgery...like with me i need a Pap......damaris

Thanks Damarius- Well I had a hysterectomy in 04 so I don't need to

have paps anymore. Thanks for the great information I love to be

apart of a group that deals with kaisedr Patients
