Guest guest
Nan, My hair is 3/4 the way down my back in length and I had no trouble with it. I just kept it in a pony tail. They didnt let me shower while i was in the hospital, so it was good to keep it out of the way. I was reeeally grimey (no, not grimmy Li.. you silly!!!) and took two complete shampooings to get clean. That's the worst part of my experience, I thought. I never barfed or anything .. maybe I should have to get to wash my hair!! lololol.. so sorry..lol.. how about braiding your hair real tight. Liane had hers braided and it stayed.. good luck in you endeavour. Sue. 6 days post op Feeling GREAT!! Guest guest
Hey Nan! yep, my hair was MUCH longer when I had surgey.. it was just above my waist.. felt I had to cut it because every time I've combed it, it looks like a pekinese has exploded on my vanity, lol.. What I did to prevent having to deal w/my hair during surgery was to get it braided into an updo.. hard to explain what I had, but it was essentially cornrowed from the hairline to the crown all the way around my head, then the braids were twisted into a bun & secured with rubber bands. it lasted a total of 15 days.. got it braided the day before surgery, was in 4 days, then took it down when it started looking fuzzy.. It lasted well; I even washed it every few days to get the sweat out (I was sweating like crazy those first weeks- either freezing or hot!). Since it was braided, I had no trouble.. but after being sick the first 2 weeks, then on clears most of a month, it started falling out in handfuls. And my hubby- who really didn't want me to cut it- LOVES it now, lol.. Glad you're back online! I'd wondered where you went to! Hugs, Liane =) > Very Cute! > > I have just got back online after computer difficulties (now upgraded > ram, bigger hard drive and a cd-re-write)-- Man have you had a bad > time from persons better left unnamed.
