I consider those who are morbidly obese to be disabled too! Judie Ya know, I was just thinking about this today-- I had my pre ds Panni (a Dr. Anthone favorite) in June. I am probably 12 or so weeks out-- and I really have returned to my pre-op energy level. The problem is what it was before I ever had the panni (all 20 pounds of it) I can't haul my ass around like a skinny person, and I am exhausted all the time!! I have no energy reserves, and my arthritic knees hurt and prevent me from walking even as much as it takes to get into a mall store! I can haul my butt to work because I NEED THE MONEY! But I already am DISABLED from the rest of my lifestyle. If I was less stubborn, or had a spouse who could support me, I would NOT BE WORKING! I finally gave up and got a handicapped placard so I can get into the grocery store and things like that-- But, it is only by dent of sheer will power that I haven't just sat down and given up. Hell yes, I am disabled. I just haven't got the sense to sit down and admit it to the governmental entities and demand they pay up. But, if I don't get my switch date soon....... Nan E. 5'2 " , 368 20 pounds off in panni waiting for a DS date with Dr. Anthone in CA ________________________________________________________________ GET INTERNET ACCESS FROM JUNO!
