Guest guest
Do you have a recumbant bike? That works nicely for those who are not totally mobile pre opt....if you go slowly so you dont hurt your knees too bad. Another one is breathing.....deep breaths several times a day and release.....really inhale here and let it out slowly...... drink lots of water.....lots of it! It not only prepares you for drinking water post opt but helps to flush out impurities in your system now....drink protein drinks and take supplements to build up your immune system....... Those are the few I can think of to do now......Oh! And practice your breathing by blowing up balloons!!! Judie
Guest guest
Someone posted on Dr. K's list and he's doing great!!! Up, walking around, feeilng good. Apparently he's at the " top " of the breathalyzer thingie -- he practiced a lot prior to the surgery, whcih is something I'd like more info on. - PREPARING. Any post ops who canoffer their experience on what they did/wish they did prepare or how they prepared I'd like to know. I'd especially like to know what people do who are NOT walkers -- I can't walk long periods because of severe arthritis. I go in the pool, but it's only 3X a week.
