However, the one who doesn't also doesn't do lap. > Should I book a hotel for a week following the surgery, to be close > to the doctor? Most docs will want you to hang around for 3-4 days after your hospital stay -- I haven't heard any restrictions on flying home after that period. alyssa, pre-op and goin' out-of-town for surgery... Guest guest
Regarding program fees, Dr. Anthone at USC charges no program fee. He is the only DS surgeon in California without a program fee. He has a long wait for a consultation, so get on the phone now! Hull > I live in Dallas, Tx, and cannot find a surgeon locally. Guest guest
I live in ND. I had lap DS in Marietta GA. by Dr. Dennis . He charged no program fee. I went down 1 week before surgery for pre op testing hospital registration, etc. Due to the distance I live from the local hospital and how far I had to travel Dr. smith wanted me to stay for 10 days to 2 weeks after surgery to make sure everything went well (it did thankfully). I spent about 4 days in the hospital. I was happy to stay around for the extra time because it gave me peace of mind to know I was near help if I needed it. Altogether it took about 4 weeks. Well Worth It! My local PCP is handling my follow up. Dr. would like to see me at 1 year. Blain > I live in Dallas, Tx, and cannot find a surgeon locally.
