Guest guest
After having consulted with both a dietician and DAN! doctor, it's apparent that our son (2) has a lot of food sensitivities, although none of them has reached official allergy levels. In addition to gluten and casein and phenols, we've cut out the clear problems foods (soy, egg, nuts, and a few others), but the doctor recommended that we consider a full 4-day rotational diet. There are plenty of foods can eat, and certainly enough for a well-rounded diet, but we're going to have to get him used to foods he usually avoids, e.g., vegetables, meat, fish(!), etc. Since we keep a kosher household, we also can't incorporate pork or shellfish. I also want to avoid bribing him by sweetening all the foods - sugar is not such a great thing, and simple starches probably cause painful gas. Does anyone have experience they can share from getting their kids used to foods they would normally dismiss? Is it simply a matter of " if they're hungry enough, they'll eat anything? " Leif
