Karianne,

Perhaps you have a sensitivity or intolerance to fructose? Have you noticed a

difference between fruit that are higher in fructose versus those that are

relatively low in it? Or maybe you have an intolerance to certain fruits? I

know for myself, I've always had difficulty with apples and while most people

here are probably able to tolerate the apple sauce quite well, I know for myself

that I will be staying away from it.

Hey, I don't really know much about this, but I would not 'brute force' it. I don't think your stomach forgets how to digest fruit.. also, supposing it had, I fancy you might get an ache, or feel queasy. not develop pain and d/c, classic IBD symptoms. easy does it, and I would also work with your body, not against.

best,

I can't tolerate fruit either and before UC I ate probably 3 fruits per day, all

kinds.

I'm really not craving fruit anymore even though my husband has it in the house

because it's not worth the D and colon meltdown.

Have you tried blueberries? I can eat a few of them a day. They are tart, maybe

that's the difference. Raspberries are OK too but I don't like them much. Funny

though, I tried frozen blueberries and they don't agree with me, just fresh.

None of the citrus (orange, lemon, etc) are good for me.

I've had UC for 10 ears but just had success on SCDiet in the last 3 months. Not

cured yet but no bleeding and lot less urgency.

I have no idea about yeast and me. Is this a doctor test?
