Guest guest
Hi everyone My mom has been told she must have WLS due to numerous health issues. I have invited her to join our group. She is scared because she had WLS almost 30 years ago and had major complications. She almost died and had to have it reversed about 2 years out. I know that it was a much different surgery than the RNY they do now. Her name is Judy and I hope she will join. Give her all the information you can. Thanks guys
Guest guest
Hello, Tell her to come on in! I am pre-op (and struggling with my 10%) but I still feel that if this is the path to take, Kaiser is the place to do it. There is much more information and support nowadays...and the medical community has made many improvements. During conversations with my PCP, Kaiser would not even be doing this if they didn't feel like it was a good long, term solution. There are support groups throughout Northern California...see if you can get her to attend at leeast one. It will help to her to meet some people who are actively in the process and the ones who have gone through it. > > Hi everyone > > My mom has been told she must have WLS due to numerous health issues. > I have invited her to join our group.
