I figured by the time my boy could flip himself over, he was OK. It seems that

when they are little especially, belly sleeping in the FAB is more comfortable

to them than back sleeping. If not belly sleeping then perhaps at least

sleeping sitting up to a small degree. Not sure why but that was our experience

with it.

sleeping on tummy

Hi - My 6.5 month old is flipping over and sleeping on her

tummy lately at nights. The nurse at our pediatrician's office said

that it's fine - just put her on her back, but if she flips over then

let her sleep on her tummy. I was wondering if other CF babies were

sleeping on their backs or tummies and if you had any tips on keeping

her on her back.

Thanks,

Yuuko ( P/M 16/7)

Yuuko,

has been sleeping on her stomach for months now! She kind of

puts her rear in the air like in a fetal position...

When she was younger, I was so afraid of SIDS...Do you have one of

those crib wedges? The ones where the baby has these huge pillow-like

barriers on either side when they roll over? That was how I kept her

on her back (most of the time) back then. Now that she is a little

older, I just let her go with whatever is most comfortable.

Just a side note, my Mom and I were just wondering about you and

today...When we were at RMH in January, she was the first baby

that we had ever seen with the s! =-) She is so beautiful! I

just can't get over it!

Take care,

Thanks ee and for your responses! So tonite I put her

on her back to sleep, but when I went in to check up on her she was

on her tummy, but comfortably sleeping. I guess you're right, if

she can roll over she will, and she seems to sleep better on her

tummy.

, we have those crib wedges and they " worked " until last

week! Now she flips over even with those, so I took them out of her

crib today. Please say " hi " to your mom and hugs to !

was such a cutie! How is she doing in the P/M? Also were you able

to get the hospital discount code for airline discounts? I need to

start thinking about our next visit to Iowa... If you need any info

on the Northwest one, let me know. It'll be fun to see you in Iowa

at a future check-up!

My son Hayden, who is eight months old, sleeps on his tummy in the crib and on

his back when he is in our bed. I don't worry about him being on his tummy

because he can lift up his head and shoulders so high off the bed.
