Help! (the diet's doing so well)

Hi All.

Hope the irony of my subject is on target. The way I'm looking at things,

our current problem is a good thing in that it shows our son's tolerance

has come way down.

Sunday we went out and he got a tiny bit of chocolate pudding, ingredients

unknown. Actually my wife had finished her pudding and just wiped his

hand on the plate and licked up a bit before I stopped him.

Monday he got a handful of granola his sister left out. Yesterday he peed

on the floor intentionally, which seems to be his signature behavior a few

days after an infraction. And this morning he wet his bed.... something he

hasn't done in a good long time; many months I'd say.

On the whole his behavior seems is better than after his last infraction

which was one month ago while we were on vacation. Also it seems to take

less of an infraction to set him off, which is why I think the diet's going

so well.

Therefore I am now very interested in learning about what we can do after

an infraction. I've heard of various options including enzymes, baking

soda, Pepcid-AC, and cranberry juice. I think those are listed in my

reverse order of preference. Does cranberry juice really work? How soon

after, and how much of it has to be given?

If anyone, or several people would like to write up their experiences and

opinions on this I'd be interested in posting it to the newdiets website too.

Regarding my own family - if something 'non-chemical' like a juice will do

the trick then we'll be sure to keep some on hand. Anything we'll probably

investigate a bit before using. Any and all feedback appreciated; if you

don't mind it being posted to the website just say so, otherwise I will

assume it isn't to be put there.

Thanks in advance,

Marty
