Guest guest
Hello, I had these exact symptoms. One day after release from hospital, I went back to get an ultrasound of my legs, to rule out any blood clots....no clots. Dr. Herron told me that due to a 7 and a half hour surgery, most likely my nerves in my legs were acting up. Now 3 months and one week out, and slowly but surely each day hurt less and less. This was my only complication and as of this week, no problems at all! Started at 373lbs BMI 53 Today 289 lbs BMI 40 Feel great, eat normal, just less than before surgery, but more than satisfied. Zero complaints HOW GREAT IS THIS SURGERY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Regards to all the regulars, DAN > HELLO ALL MY NAME IS GUNN PANDYA I HAD THE DS ON SEPT 12 SO TOMORROW > WILL BE EXACTLY 3 WEEKS POST OP- I AM HAVING NUMBNESS IN BOTH OF MY > THIGHS ON THE TOP AND ON THE OUTER PARTS OF THE THIGH ALSO I AM > GETTING ELECTRIC SHOCK TYPE OF PAIN IN THEM- CAN ANYONE TELL ME HOW > THIS IS CAUSED AND WHAT I CAN DO TO MAKE IT BETTER. > OTHER THAN THIS I AM DOING GREAT-I AM EATING SOFT REGULAR FOODS AND > TOLERATING EVERYTHING VERY WELL. Guest guest
....About the ultrasound of the legs to rule out blood clots, Dr. Macura has this done on everyone before they leave the hospital. That gave me such peace of mind. I haven't had any numbness, but then again, I had open DS, which took 2 hours. Sounds like nerve compression to me.
