It seems awfully close to me to be giving > that much blood. > > in Seattle > I agree, I had to ring his receptionist/office person every second week to get her to send me the papers out since the begginning of August - then when organising the pathologist/hospital has made the appointments for 11, 18 and 25 October which takes me upto 10 days prior to surgery. I am annoyed as I know that I could have donated this blood well in advance and that my body would be fully recovered. Has anyone else given blood for surgical purposes so close to their actual date? I have also been told to take an Iron supplement prior to donation, know I know I am at the right place to ask this question? I have a bottle of Floradix Herbal Liquid Iron Extract, as well as this I have started to take Vita4Life Supplements (1x4 a day). I dont know what else I can be doing to boost my Iron levels? Any Suggestions?
