Guest guest
dora - i would wonder which wls the doctor was referring to as well? i had my surgery on 4/13/01 and have lost 105 pounds so far. i don't know how you couldn't lose weight, just the restrictive part alone with a smaller stomach makes it hard to consume much, then you have the malabsorptive component which is pretty effective. i would go back to your doctor and ask him which procedures he was talking about, and then see if he can explain to you how this surgery would not work. hang in there - if this is what you want, go for it. find another doctor if you have to that will support you in this. most of the time, after they do some research, they are supportive, especially since it is much healthier for us both physically and emotionally to lose our excess weight. best wishes - keep chatting with us and asking your questions... ~amy~ dr k - delano (4/13/01) -105 pounds
