Guest guest
Our experience is like Marcia's. My 5 yo can't do dairy or gets eczema. I have to avoid dairy when nursing or it aggravates the eczema on my babies. We are usually okay during the summer but have eczema during the winter. My dd, age 10 1/2, hardly has any now, but it comes and goes with my 5 yo, 3 yo and infant. My 3 yo has it bad right now for the first time in a long time...but just on his legs and his butt cheeks. has it all over her torso and legs, poor baby! We only use All Free detergent (no dyes or perfumes) on clothes and eliminate all soap in the bath during our eczema breakout times. Eczema is a combination of genes and environmental triggers, I think. It is also associated with asthma at times, but none of my kids have asthma, thank God. Longer did seem to make her even > madder so I think this is the right length for us. > > Since her foot is still a bit red on the side and on her crazy big > toe, I wrapped her foot in soft gauze (casting gauze) to see if that > helps. She has sensitive skin so I think bandaids will irritate it. > We are already dealing with a whole body eczema case and I don't want > to do anything else to irritate her skin.
