Guest guest
I have twin girls and they are almost finished with their first bands. We saw improvement on the back part of their heads but their ears are still misaligned and foreheads asymetrical. Cranial tech says one of my girls is on the verge of needing another and our other girl probably does need another. They are now 13 mos old. I am worried that we will spend another chunk of change and not see improvement as we've been disappointed in the improvement with the first band. Has anyone else gotten a 2nd band for their child at this age and did you see improvement?
Guest guest
My son got his first band at 17 months and his second one at 21 months old and we saw significant change with both. The key is obviously good growth, so if the twins are growing at a slow pace, you might not see results as quickly or to the extent you were expecting. But even with slow steady growth, a second band can still make a difference. You just have to go with what you feel most comfortable with. Good luck with the decision! Guest guest
I'm concerned that you're dissappointed with the first band. I had my daughter banded at almost 15 months. She was rescanned after nine weeks and had gone from moderate to mild (95 percent to 92.3 percent). That was with 8 mm of head growth. I'm happy that we did this even though we were cautioned againt hoping for too much change. Hope this helps. , mom to , 17 months 1 week 11 weeks in STARband plus CST 2nd BandI have twin girls and they are almost finished with their first bands. Guest guest
My son got his second Doc Band at 13 1/2 months. Progress has been slow although we did just catch a growth spurt last week at 16 months. At this point I am not expecting perfection. However, I am glad that we went ahead with the second band because I feel that we did everything possible to get the most correction. ____________________________________________________________ Click for free info on criminal justice degrees, $150K/ year potential.
