Guest guest Posted December 31, 2005 Report Share Posted December 31, 2005 here's another idea... perhaps the orthotics department could make a sort of brace/harness for her leg and attach a shoe to it? I would go for the PM's if so. I can see why the bar would cause problems, but the PM's are so nice and soft I think they'd flex much better on her foot than the Markells. If they could make some kind of harness that rigidly holds the shoe in place at the 70 degrees, with some kind of plate under the sole to keep it dorsiflexed... maybe... I'm thinking some kind of metal strapping materials, like the straps they use for plumbing and HVAC piping although less flexible of course. Something that could be casted into place on her leg and then the shoe could be slipped into the harness when she needs to wear it. hummm.... My dad could figure something out lol... he's like that :~} Too bad you're so far away!!
