Guest guest
Bob, You're having surgery about 2 weeks before me so I expect you & Katja to keep me updated as to your progress! I feel so fortunate that there are two people going in just a couple of weeks before me to share in the experience. Everything is going to be fine! This site is amazing and great idea reading the posts, that's what I've been doing! > > > Hi > I've been reading the posts for months since, learning that I > required surgery...Great Site....just got the call , my surgery is > March 8 (lower jaw back 5 mm and genio ) I'm 48 years old and gettin > a little nervous... > Bob
Guest guest
I'm set for March 28th. I'm really excited but a little nervous at the same time. I guess I'm just looking forward to being on the other side. Good luck to everyone. Guest guest
Everybody gets nervous, so it probably won't help for me to tell you to try to relax. But do, anyhow. Many folks also get to a kind of " calm spot " just before surgery, which is nice. It is major surgery, and requires general anesthesia with intubation - - so it's serious business. But remember, you'll have more experts keeping more careful track of what's happening to you than probably at any other time of your life, and they're all poised to help or call in experts to help if you should hit a bobble. Most folks don't, though. I hope it will go easily and well for you. (I was 56, nearly 57, when I had lower advancement. And I still wasn't my surgeon's oldest patient, who had been a woman of 62!) So you're a spring chicken! Guest guest
Hi there-- I'm having surgery March 3rd in Ann Arbor, MI. I am having a lower advancement and genio. Anybody up to bat before me, or am I the next one?? I had my pre-op workup at the orthodontist's office. eight little hooks; four top and four bottom. not nearly as big as i thought they would be. I was expecting for little claws to be on my teeth, but they're not so big at all Pamela > > I'm having surgery March 9th, Mel is having surgery March 21st, is > anyone else having theirs around that time?
