Guest guest
Oh my gosh! Why on earth did she choose to undergo that method? I know most people don't like having braces, but I doubt not having them is worth all the pain. > Hi All, > > Well, after getting on these boards and complaining about how crappy it > is to be swollen and hungry, I have come face-to-face with a much worse > predicament. Guest guest
Now that you mention it, Tova, I do think I have heard a bit about this embedded anchor business, too. The arch bars are something different, and in my book, equally evil, as they can get embedded all along the arch, best I understand (thank God I never had them). I would think they probably use arch bars, too, when you break your jaw in an accident, God forbid! and there's no time to install the brackets and wires before the surgery. There are worse things than braces, at least in my book. Guest guest
She had the surgery that way because her teeth were straight naturally, they just were coming together at a place that caused pain. The odd thing is, all the poking and prodding made her teeth crooked... now they are like " your teeth will probably go back to the way they were... if they don't, nothing a couple of months in braces can't fix " Oy. > > Oh my gosh!
