Guest guest
I wish I'd brought a copy of the A.M. Best guide before I went out on w/c. You can get some info about any insurance company by going to www.ambest.com The Best guide tells about financial strength and provides other info for insurers. Darn, I don't know if the guide has anything other than Prop-Casualty carriers so now I'm not sure. Well, try anyway, LOL. As for " will they ok the surgery? " ... I don't know but.. I said it before and I'll say it again... This may not be possible but if you can get your agent to put in writing that the DS surgery is an approved procedure with the insurer and it turns out it isn't, you may have a case against the agent's Errors and Omissions insurance. The agt is considered the " arm " of the insurer so you might be lucky in that way. I'm concerned that the agt may not know so might be saying " yes " just to get you to sign up... and later you might find out the carrier may approve the RNY only instead of the DS as well. Good luck, dee --- Roxanne wrote: > Hello Everyone, still in my quest to find health > coverage. I feel as > though I got my big toe in the door. Anyone with > knowledge of this > company? I spoke with the agent again yesterday and he assured me they do cover " Medically Necessary " WLS. I don't want to push it too much with him, I'm afraid if he finds out I am wanting this surgery he will mess it up for me. I'll keep posting! Take care, Roxanne > > > -------------------------------------------------------------------- -- > >
