Guest guest
, I am by means no expert in this, my surgery was 5/5/4 a lap rny revision from a vbg done 10 years ago. But, I was given a strict diet for the first 6 weeks from my surgeon and a nutritionist. The first 2 weeks are full liquids, you can have something as dense as pudding (sugar-free, fat free) or cream of wheat, but nothing that would hurt your stample line or possibily cause an obstruction. More solid food may possibly do this. week 3-6 aqre pureed foods. thats when scrambled eggs come in. If you drink protein shakes, they do help with hunger they fill you up. I guess your post just scared me, I would call my dr's office and check on the after care. diet ... you don't waNT to be back in the hospital with leaks ... You will get hungry, this is not the quick fix, just a tool to work with, think about all you can do with it when you hunger sets in.
