Hi Marjie,

I bought a Precor EFX elliptical 2 months after my RNY. I LOVED that

thing, esp when I wasn't ready to brave the gym. It was expensive, but

incredibly sturdy (it handled my 280+ frame no problem) and was worth it

to me. I eventually got hooked on going to the gym and stopped using it

and sold it to a girlfriend of mine. She and her husband use it nearly

every day and its still going strong after 2 years!

Does anyone have a home elliptical machine? If so, what brand, and

would

you recommend it?

Thanks,

Marjie

I have one- bought it at Sears, a ProForm 545S. I like it better

than the one at my gym, the gym's seems to have a shorter stride so

it seems choppy to me. My favorite piece of equipment is the

stairstepper. I really miss being able to sweat now that I'm

forbidden to do anything that involves being on my feet. If you

purchase at Sears ask them about their return policy if you don't

like it. I was told that I could return mine at any time if I found

that I didn't use it and they would refund a portion of the purchase

price or if I did it rather quickly after purchase the entire

amount. Mine was around $300.00 if memory serves me correctly.
