Guest guest
Hi Liz, I'm very sorry to hear that you are having pain post-op. I didn't experience anything like that, but I don't think I've had as much work done (implants) as you. I do have a little bit of " noise " in the right joint (crepitis), and just saw my ortho (6 month checkup), who assured me that the joint is still re-modeling, that I have good range of movement, that this is normal and, provided there is no pain, nothing to worry about. However, he also told me to come back each year to see him, and to call him if I have any concerns in between visits. I did experience much more sensitivity in places once the numbness begain to subside. I'm concerned about your remark about not being able to go on living with the pain you had before. If it's that bad, please, please investigate all options, including alternative therapies that may help you with the pain or to cope with the pain, like cranial-sac treatments, massage, even meditation. Guest guest
Hi Susuan, Thanks for your reply. I think maybe you read a little too much into my comment about th pain. I meant that if this pain continues I would be looking into further sureries and options----its deffintly not something I would ever or could ever imagine being suicidal about....but thanks for the concern! > > > > I had surgery late August, my upper jaw was moved forward and down > > 6MM and widdened--cut in two places to make it three pieces.
