Guest guest
When I went to my transitional support group meeting with the nutritionist, I was surprised to hear her tell us that salads are easily digested. I very nervously tried one and was thrilled to find she was right. Since you do well with the chicken, perhaps you can put some of that on your salad! Ummm. > I'm into my fourth week and am gradually introducing foods into my diet. But I was also wondering about salads. Is > this too early for me to tackle? Guest guest
Thanks! I just needed that nudge. I think I'll try a mini-salad tomorrow! -- Re: salads When I went to my transitional support group meeting with the nutritionist, I was surprised to hear her tell us that salads are easily digested. Guest guest
, I am a week ahead of you, and I have done Salad and been ok. What I do when I eat anything is when I take my bites, I pouch my food in my cheek, and chew the bite in bits, swallowing smaller bits than the bite itself, and chew chew chew. I had a " taco salad " with minimal lettuce, lotsa tomatoes, drained taco meat, and all the obvious taco fixins. I didnt have any difficulty with it as long as you make sure and chew the veggies very well, as with anything we eat. One of my favorites....Cottage Cheese. Excellent for both protein and calcium...served with some fresh chunks of fruit (canteloup or strawberries) YUMMMMMMM!!! Have fun on your vacation. Guest guest
Thanks, Donna. I picked up a toss salad today and plan to have it for supper. ;-) I have to admit one of the first things I could eat and total enjoyed was Cottage Cheese with baby food banana and apples. I still like it, so that will be a given. -- Re: salads , I am a week ahead of you, and I have done Salad and been ok.
