The Brace: It's just a different style of FAB (DBB). Serves the same

purpose, shoes on a bar, but built and designed a bit differently. Many babies

who could not tolerate the Markell FAB have had success in the . Not

sure of the web site off hand but maybe search the web or search our files

section for a link to see more about it.

It gets called the ; the Ponseti-; the P/M; the s;

the sandles; 's AFO or 's FAB or AFO/FAB...lot of nick names

floating around on here for the same thing. It does cost considerably more but

lately insurance has been covering the costs for many folks, and even if it

doesn't, for those babies who need it, it's priceless!

And absolutely, we're here to help you understand all this weird stuff so never

hesitate to ask, OK?

That's great Carol! See how we stress out when it's really nothing

at all? I'm meeting with our ortho on Monday to see about putting my

little guy in another cast. I had so much anxiety when speaking to

him on the phone because I didn't know how he would react. He was

super nice about it and hopefully everything will go well on Monday

too.
