Guest guest
I had surgery late August, my upper jaw was moved forward and down 6MM and widdened--cut in two places to make it three pieces. Some of the nerves have just woken up and I was having termendouse pain. I also had pain under the two lower implants that were placed a few years ago--nothing was done to them this surgery and there was no nerve damage at the lower jaw. I happen to be vacationining in Paraguay right now but had my mom call the surgeon and his assistant said that the pain was normal for this stage. Anyway I just was curiouse as to see where other people were at five months after surgery. And if anyone knows why it hurts when the nerves come back. I once had no feeling in a spot in my lower jaw after an implant surgery for a little over a year but when the feeling came back I had no pain at all. I would much rather have the numbness really, I didn´t even know it was still numb untill the feeling came back. I also have had a lot of joint pain and I am really worried what I thought was a 100 percent sucessful surgery and was totally happy with it has now made things worse. (especially in terms of TMJ because I can´t go on living with worse pain then I had before)
