Guest guest
as everybody keeps saying it's head hunger , we think we should eat more i time and hopefully a short time that will go away, some people will have a problem because they were munching while they watched TV or while reading a book , i haven't had the surgery yet it will be Aug18-o4 lap... but my grandmother had the surgery when i was 12 yrs old ( i am 56 NOW) but it was for ulcers and that is the surgery that has brought us this weight loose one they found people lost weight after the surgery so they ran with it. all i can tell you is my grand mother never seemed to have any problems , she would eat about 5 small meals a day , maybe toast a banana evening she would make a sandwich or a small piece of meat , and she use to make pies also and it did not bother her, she was healthy and she was a very small women after the surgery before she was a large women. i never heard her complain about being hungry or anything else. it was a much tougher surgery then , very serous thing , they were were she might not make it , but she did and she lived a long life. i know many people who have had this surgery and they are all doing fine , we survive and will be thin and healthy bye Shirley of Fontana so cal best of luck keep on reading e Annya Dodd wrote: Thank you Shirley, I guess I never quite thought about it that way. I suppose as long as your full it doesn't matter how much you can take in or not. I was concerned mostly with feeling hungry all of the time. How many times a day can you eat? e Shirley Weber wrote: why would you bother with the surgery , it sounds like you are more concerned with being able to eat alot still , the amount of food we eat and the kinds are what got us in this trouble in the first place. you are suppost to eat until you feel full not anymore and if all you can hold is 2 thu 6 ozes then that it and take vitamins to help , our food lack vitamins anyway . i am more concerned about getting rid of this weight and being healthy and keeping it off than whether i can eat 5 slices of pizza or alot of steak and potatoes , i will be able to eat a little and enjoy life alot that is my goal. there is a lap band surgery that the band is adjustable go for that , some insurance so do not cover it because it is not that good at getting the weight off and keeping it off ,the bands can deteriorate in time , it just has it's problems , look it up on your computer , stapling is basically gastric bye pass surgery , there are several different surgery types, just look up bareatric surgery and somewhere you should come up with all the different types. good luck shirley e Annya Dodd wrote: Is there any other surgery besides gastric bypass that works? I have heard of stomach stapling before??? Is there anyway they can make the stomach a bit bigger to fit more food than 2 or 6 onces? Thanks.
