I am so glad it went well! Isn't it surprising how fast the procedure really

is? I was amazed at how quickly it went! I did the same - Tylenol for Mom's

benefit! It sure is nice to have that part over with so one can stop worrying

about it, isn't it?

thought I'd post an update on Marcus's tenotomy. He

had it done yesterday. Everything went very well. The little bugger is

a big eater and he started squirming for food in the car before we

even got to the doctor's. So, naturally, by the time they got us in

and the cast removed, he was already all worked up (how dare I not

feed him for three hours! :) He was screaming by the time the

procedure started. The whole thing took all of maybe 5 minutes,

including the local anesthetic. As soon as I put the bottle of food in

his little mouth, he became perfectly calm. They put a steri-strip on

the cut and applied the cast. He finished eating in the meantime and

you would never have known he had anything done to him. I gave him

some Tylenol later (more for my benefit, so that I could be assured he

wasn't in pain). He slept well last night and he's fine today. I am so

thankful it's over. I was worried about the whole thing, but for

nothing. Thank you all for your support. It's nice to know I can turn

to someone if I do run into problems or have questions. I also want to

wish you all a Very Merry Christmas!

I sure hope you are right ! I am usually pretty good about these kinds of

things, but this one really has me being a big chicken. I just can't stand to

think of her hurting.

Don't worry DeeDee. My husband just about guaranteed that he wasn't

going to come with me to the tenotomy appt (big, big chicken when it

comes to these things). He had no choice because my mom was sick so

she couldn't come. The whole procedure was very simple. Hardly any

bleeding during and done in a couple of minutes, if that. It took

longer just letting the anesthetic kick in. Marcus did have a little

bleeding after which came through the cast, but nothing serious. So

hang in there. It's really not bad. Just have Isabella eat right

after and she should be fine.

It definitely is! I really dreaded it and made more of it than it

really was.

Hi everyone.

I was thinking the same...which is why I gave him Tylenol - for my

benefit.
