Guest guest
Hi All, Thanks for the stories and advice! I've had some bad experiences with military Docs before and I'm determined that this will NOT be one of them! I've learned to take charge of my own health and that of my children. So your advice is very valuable to me in getting prepared to " buck " the system! Gretchen
Guest guest
Let me know if you have any other questions. Good Luck. Remember they have to keep giving you second opinions. Call Ponseti if you have any doubts. The other thing is: They were supposed to send us to HA immediately to start casting Guam naval has no pediatric ortho. It took the Aerovac' office 6 WEEKS to get the paperwork together! You have to bugg them and bugg them because they don't understand the urgency of getitng the treatment started right away. Also, the ortho on staff at Guam Naval will want to start casting before you leave the hospital... to do it over again, there would be no way I let an inexperienced non-pediatric ortho touch my son's feet. I would take your child home and enjoy (sorry..his/her?) non-casted legs till they get you to HA. It may be the last really good cuddle time you get for a little while. okdoake wrote: Hi All, Thanks for the stories and advice!
