What will I look like after surgery?

The braces-coming-off topic has got me thinking -- what am I gonna

look like after surgery? All this time, I realize I've been thinking

about it in terms of " My teeth won't be crooked anymore, my chin won't

be pointy and weird anymore. " Thinking in negatives. I know that my

lower jaw coming forward and tilting down will make my face longer and

more proportionate. But I just realized I have no image in my head of

what I'm actually going to look like.

Looking at others' before and after photos, it seems some people have

a very dramatic change in appearance, while some are barely

noticeable. I'm just wondering, did most of you have an idea of what

you'd look like after surgery? Or were you in the dark like me?

Neither my ortho nor surgeon do computer imaging, so I'm out of luck

there. Is there any other way to project how I might look?
