Yep, I bet you're right! They probably only had spinals way back in the

stone ages when I was a kid. What really got me was, my legs were still

pretty numb and the damn nurse yelled at me to get up and walk to the

bathroom. Well, I walked slow and bent over and it took forever to get to

the bathroom while sharp pains shot up my back. The nurse didn't even stay

to help me - she yelled at me and then just left.

And I did have those sharp pains from time to time for years after. Even tho

I was only 9, I told her it still hurt to walk, but she was a *itch. I sure

didn't want to go through THAT again! But I do want as pain fee a recovery

as possible because I am a chicken. :-) Carole
