Advice to those wanting to swaddle baby with DBB

Hi Everyone,

I've been reading all of the posts about starting out in the DBB and

getting our poor babies comfortable enough to sleep. It is so

hard! We had a tough time with Addison in general in the beginning -

just to get her to go to sleep took massive effort! She loved to

be swaddled, and with the DBB, it was very hard, until we found the

Miracle Blanket. It's a very odd blanket, but it takes all of the

mystery out of swaddling, and allows you to keep the legs out (or

put them in if the baby is small enough) of a " pouch " - then this

big piece of fabric wraps the baby snugly. It's hard to describe,

so here's a link:

This blanket - along with the white noise and whatever else we could

think of - saved our sanity and now I'm buying them as shower gifts

for my pregnant friends! It truly worked with the DBB - matter of

fact, we swaddled with that darn blanket until Addison was 5 months

old! She's a fantastic sleeper now (17 mo), and has been for a long

time - and the DBB is just part of her normal life (as someone else

mentioned).

Hope this helps!

Hello,

I have to agree that the Miracle Blanket is amazing! It is the only way I

could swaddle my son so he couldn't break loose. I think it will be great to

use with Keira, if needed, when she has the DBB on b/c of the fact of

leaving the legs out.

We only bought one but I think it's worth getting two..one for wash, one for

use. It really is great!
