My turn..

I didn't have Christmas yesterday. The kids both had to work and then it was the in-laws turn.

Jim and I are taking them all---10---to lunch on Sunday and then back here to open presents.

Since I do a lot of crafting, sewing, jewelry, crochet, ect. I didn't have to buy anything. I have 4 wonderful grandchildren who love the things I make. Maybe because they get to do the crafting with me sometimes. They know the love that goes into each thing I make for them. And my children, well I decided a long time ago that when they had kids themselves that presents for them would stop. But I baked bread and cookies for them and made some home made Kluaha. I will let you know how it went after Sunday. Right now I think it is nap time as I was out shopping this morning with Jim. We are expecting a snow storm with rain again. ARGH!!!!

all is quiet

I hope all had a wonderful holiday yesterday. I was hoping to turn my laptop on and hear everyones happy day. I had a quiet day, I made a 7lb turkey breast and filling and mashed and sweet potatos. that was all I could do. I woke up early to put the turkey in and never went back to bed and come 7:30pm last nite I could not go anymore so went to bed ! I did not get awake until 11:30am today.. I was pooped to say the least. we did not have money this year to exchange gifts but me seth and sherif, were all together and that meant more to me than any gifts that we could have gotten. This year since seth is working along with going to college he paid for all the food for me to make xmas dinner. That was gift enough. Today Sherif, and seth had to head back to work.but just for the one day. I sorta wish they could have been home today , but we need all the money they can earn right now.

It is hard with me being on SSD. and getting my pention, just not enough ya know. I am sure a lot of you are going through the same thing.

Hi , I'm so glad you had a good day, we had my husbands brother and his family 3 kids, and in laws over for the day, my husband does all the cooking on holidays, which is a blessing for me, we had a house full, just like I like it, ate, visited, and played games. I was up early, my husband was running around waking everyone up early this year, we went to church at 10am after opening presents. and by one I was down for a nap, but beat by 9pm. I grew up one of seven kids, my brothers were older and had their kids while I was still home, so we use to have BIG fun on the holidays, and I love that.

I hope everyone had a blessed day, my husband is home today too, working on a broken, fairly new refrigerators ice maker, I love my ice! God Bless, Marla \

Hi & all,

I had a nice quiet Christmas Eve with just the 5 of us and a busy Christmas Day, having to go to my parents and my husband's parents. That was a lot for me, especially working a split shift. Two hours in the morning and two hours in the afternoon. Doesn't sound bad, buit it's still tiring. My 3 boys gave me a beautiful birthstone ring. I love it. Really surprised me. Hope others had a good day as well and didn't get too worn out.
