Guest guest
Greetings at the end of day three! We took milk out several months ago, but Monday we took all of the other tasty stuff out, ha ha!. Yesterday and today she is complaining of being cold, frequently. Is this a coincidence or is something up with that? Also, how long before we should expect to see some changes in her? I have seen nothing yet except she is hungry constantly. The kids ate like pigs at dinner, though. I think they are starting to realize there is not an option. My son prayed at dinner tonight and asked in his prayer for us to end this diet and make us well so we don't have to eat like this anymore. Through the mouthes of babes, huh? Last question... I can't access msrobins website, can someone resend me the url? Maybe it was down or I mistyped. We really need some good food here, HA HA, and PLEASE feel free to email me privately or post on the list the BEST FOODS to get and where to get them. Stuff like we used to eat! It would help to add some goodies in, right now I am just feeling my way! Thanks everyone , your support has been amazing! Guest guest
Anne, My son loves these rolls. They are also easy to make. You may have to experiment with the cooking time. I am reposting the original post I saved. This is not my recipe, but one from Betty ( I think). Thanks Betty if it is from you. F. Mom to three boys in Alabama " Evan seems to like these quick rolls pretty well. I also added some Italian spices to make a sort of pizza bread. this was posted to the gfcf list by Cheryl and I modified it for us just a bit. It seemed to need more guar gum to keep it from crumbling. ---Betty ( This recipe was posted to the celiac list by Jane Conrad. She uses them for hamburger or hot dog buns, but I use them for quick rolls. They seem a lot like Noah's bread, but have been a lot less temperamental, at least for me :-) Cheryl) Quick Rolls 3/4 cup rice flour or sorghum flour 1/4 cup potato starch 1/2 cup tapioca starch 2 tsp baking powder 2 tsp guar gum 1/2 tsp salt 1 tbsp sugar Mix above ingredients together, and add: 2 eggs 1/3 cup oil 1/2 cup gfcf milk replacement Bake inside of muffin rings or hamburger roll forms, Sprinkle with seeds if you like and bake at 375 for 15-20 minutes, until golden brown on top. Makes about 5 buns. Don't undercook or they will fall when cooling. Let cool completely on racks. "

As far as the ready made breads by Ener-g, I only get the brown rice English muffins as I personally don't like Ener-g bread, but the English muffins from Ener-g are very good. on Long Island New York * On Wed, 1 Aug 2001 23:14:53 -0400 " Clevermoms.com " writes: .... Order the chocolate cake > mix got it! I will, too! ) wish I had it for tomorrow, my huband's birthday. I guess I'll experiment with the Bette H's featherlight yellow one (I think it's called) or use my package mix from Gluten free Pantry for Angel food cake and call it good. (with strawberries) any other fast suggestions? I have to make it tonight! (with what I have on hand) > - I get ALL my flours from Miss Robens less expensive than in the HFS? > brown rice English muffins...from Ener-g are very good. good to know. >
