Guest guest
Hi , Sorry you are having trouble but it's pretty common at first when we are just starting to sort things out. I wouldn't say at all that honey needs to be thought of as central to SCD. It's just legal. I've been on SCD since July, haven't had honey and frankly, if I never do it won't be a big surprise. I have hypoglycemia and gave up all concentrated sweets in 1975. But I have no trouble with fruit. As to what to do, take it slowly. If you get a reaction, go backwards a bit to what you know works, let things settle down, then go forward again. Something that doesn't work now very likely will work for you after a bit, after some healling. I know this isn't a " do this and it will be perfect " list, but we are all different and have to experiment. It's worth it, though. Honey seems kind of central to SCD (and if I can't tolerate honey, why should I be able to tolerate, say, apples?), so I wonder how to test whether that's causing my problems or what..
