Guest guest
FYI…. Thanks to Mirna for providing this info…. The US EPA Office of Air and Radiation (OAR) has announced a new funding opportunity: the US-Mexico Border Environmental Education, Outreach and Support Program. The closing date for this funding opportunity is January 10, 2011. This program supports environmental education activities designed to reach K-12, undergraduate, and graduate students, and provide training to assist them in pursuing careers in air quality management. The program also works toward increasing awareness and understanding of environmental risks stemming from air pollution and related environmental justice concerns. The target geographic region includes 62.5 miles on either side of the US-Mexico border, spanning over 1,950 miles from the Pacific Ocean to the Gulf Coast. Guest guest
Yes, Gayle and I discussed it after you and I did - it requires providing programming for K through graduate schools - so I think they really want universities (with schools of education / links to public schools) to apply.
