Guest guest
, It sounds to me like your main concern is the overcrowding of your teeth, and if that is true then usually just braces can fix that. jaw surgery is a big deal and if it is not completely necessary, then do you want to put yourself at that risk? Well its totally up to you. But you're not alone, I just got my braces on 2 days ago to prepare for my surgery in 4 months and I definitely had second thoughts, but now im okay so just hang in there! > > Hi, Im supposed to be getting my braces put on tomorrow but within > the last 24 hours Ive suddenly got many doubts and am thinking of > pulling out. Guest guest
I heard some good advice once, which was that sometimes deciding not to decide is the best decision. Sounds like you may want to take some more time thinking about this and being sure it's the right thing for you. I myself canceled my first appointment to get braces on -- mainly for financial reasons -- and waited nearly another year before I went through with it. By that time I was very clear that I wanted to do it. I am 37, have been in braces for four months, and although the first 11 days were extremely painful and uncomfortable, in less than two months my top two teeth -- which were tilted far back -- were straight. I can't believe the difference in my smile already. I'm thrilled. I'll be having lower advancement next Dec or Jan. Take more time if you need it. Do some research and make sure this is what you want before you go through with it.
